The ninth release of Kilchoman 100% Islay, bottled in 2019, has been made using barley grown on a single farm on Islay, and uses whisky that was distilled in 2007 and 2009. Sweet aromas of lemon meringue pie, apricots, juniper and wild herbs mingle on the nose, and the palate offers notes of vanilla, briny peat, dark maple syrup, lemon tarts and rich bonfire smoke.
