Palate: Richer than expected, with warming notes of black pepper, sea salt and ozone, as well as a hint of honeyed fruit. Good weight.
Finish: The well-balanced peat acts as a seabreak to the subtle but welcome fruit.
Formerly known as Rock Oyster, Rock Island is Douglas Laing’s blended malt based on whiskies from the Islands, specifically Jura, Islay, Arran and Orkney. Rich with a smoky and maritime character.
