Hailing from the beautiful Isle of Skye, this is the single malt that won the Best Whisky in the World award for 2007. Held for 18 years in casks that have had bourbon and sherry in them, this is part of the Classic Malts of Scotland range from whisky behemoth Diageo. A surprisingly clean and fresh nose with fruit and spice all evident. Peat and smoke gently comes through, but it’s on the palate that these flavours really shine. A hefty spice and fruit flavour with smoke and peat intermingling throughout. A long peppery finish. Best enjoyed neat.
